Red sea urchins have mouths that are located underneath the urchin and is layered with five teeth. It is protected by the sharp spines that protrude out of its body that can grow up 8 centimeters long. Red Sea Urchin's have a simple nervous system. They, like sea stars, have a nerve ring that branches out to radial canals that further branch out throughout the urchin.
