The common comet star, also known as Guilding's sea star, is often found in the shallow waters of the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian ocean. It does not have a brain but rather a central nerve ring that connects to peripheral nerves that lead to the arms of the star fish. On the end of each there is an occuli or eye that allows the fish to be able to see but not as clearly as us humans do.
